Highly disappointed with the Tribit StormBox 2. I purchased this speaker in June 2025 trusting the brand value and audio quality. However, almost exactly after completing 1 year—just when the warranty expired—the speaker has become completely useless.
First, it developed a major charging logic bug where the power indicator would continuously blink red and refuse to charge when switched off. Now, it has advanced to a severe battery hardware/firmware failure. Even if it shows 100% charge via the app, it drains down to 80% within just 6 minutes of playback! And when plugged back in, it instantly jumps back to 100% (False Charging/Severe Voltage Drop).
To make matters worse, Tribit Customer Support in India flatly refused to provide any paid repair solutions or service center details because it's 'out of warranty'. They simply offered a discount coupon to buy another product! Why would I invest in this brand again when their premium product doesn't even last 13 months?
If you are looking for a reliable, long-term speaker, stay away from this. Extreme battery calibration/charging issues and zero post-warranty service in India make it a total waste of money.
Had a pair of Stormbox 1 speakers and thought they were pretty good. These though are a definite improvement, particularly with the easily sorted stereo function and the Tribit app with equaliser function. Great product. One little thing, it would be nice to have a lighter touch to the opening announcements, even though they are not particularly obtrusive.
I got it for 45 eu including delivery on black Friday. The best purchase 💯 value for money.
Sound quality, battery life both are great.

It fills the room pretty good but directional awareness is zero unless you have it in front of your face. Like shoved in it 🙂
I love my Tribit Stormbox2 I have had for probably 5 years. I especially like the plug in audio jack which most other brands don't have, in order to play old cassettes. I just bought another for my daughter and it sounds great but the strap rivet broke in a week. That's my only complaint. My original had a rubber strap with a rivet which is still solid.
I use the Box in my 20years old car.
IT IS an Cabrio, and i always have some Problem with the boxen an wet weather. IT IS an great alternativ to get great Sound, and i still can hear IT If Open the roof of my car.

I Just have an small problem with the duration of the battery
I cant load it from the old 5volt zigerat Burner, with to risk of entcharing my car battery. So i get an 20000 ma/h Powerbank to load it on the ride like my mobile Phone.
Another great creation by Tribit. Really like their products. I have 6 of their different bt speakers around my house and one for going outside. I was able to catch a great sale for the StormBox 2. Got one for me AND a friend who loves his. (Sounds like I work for them, sorry!)
I love the Tribit Storm Box. It has a great sound. It's waterproof. And one silly thing I like a lot, is that the voice they've used to let me know the battery low is female. All my Tribit products are great!
I bought two of these speakers because my old StormBox finally stopped charging after 5 years of use. Unfortunately, I have to say I’m extremely disappointed with the new StormBox 2.
Compared to the original version, the bass is almost non-existent. Instead of deep, rich sound, it feels like someone tapping on a cardboard box with a stick. The sound quality is a huge downgrade from the old model.
I honestly expected much better from a newer generation product. Sadly, these speakers are a real disappointment and I cannot recommend them.
I purchased 16 of these and 20 of the smaller ones as company holiday gifts and I believe everyone loved these more than if I gave a gift card to them.
I love the sound quality. I have midrange hearing loss but things are much clearer with the TriBit. However I do wish your charging cord was significantly longer.
Very quick delivery, this is the third speaker by tribit my family has purchased. Starting the MacBook, stormbox, and now a stormbox 2. All of them have great sound and pretty dang good battery life. Would recommend to a friend.
the bluetooth instructions say to hold for 2 seconds to shut off. mine does shut off. it keeps blinking no matter how long i hold button. It interupts my music about 20 seconds in, each time I turn on and play. Frustrating!
Having ALOT of issues pair both speakers for surround sound. Which was the main selling point.
