I did a lot of research and landed on the soundboom 2 plus. But then I read somebody mentioned the stormbox was better on a forum. So I looked up the stormbox and was sold. When I got it I was blown away with the quality bass that comes out of this thing and how good the highs and mids sound. I didn't download the custom EQ yet because I like the way it sounds out of the box. There was an issue and Customer Support took care of it in a BIG way. Rachel was a pleasure to communicate with and she handled everything like a pro. Very happy with the product and very happy with the service. I just bought another speaker the Stormbox Blast 2 because I love the first one so much. I use my Blast 1 on the battery then run AC power as this thing produces some good quality bass and will drain the battery faster with Xbass on and higher volumes. I've seen the magnets on the subwoofers in a video and they were huge! This explains why they put out so much bass. I work in my carpentry shop and need more headroom with the volume output. Sometimes I need to crank it up to cut through my tablesaws, giant floor fans, air compressor and banging noises. The Blast 1 does great when these things are off but I can only pick up some of the bass thumping when they are on. When I receive my Blast 2 I hope to hear my breakbeat music over these loud machines. Love Tribits products as they are better suited for work environments. They clean up easier because of the surface being easily cleanable plastic. Most of the other brands use a fabric mesh. This does not lend itself well to working in a carpentry shop because of all the Dust. I'm going to shop for a smaller speaker for my son right now for his birthday. Very good products. RD

The battery life is very good!! my only dislike is; for the size, its considerably heavy! and i mean walking with this speaker, after a while, youre wishing this speaker came with side mounts to hold a shoulder strap. the weight keeps reminding of the Stormblast Lava which is smaller, lighter, same great sound, same great battery life, and comes with a shoulder strap.

Only problem with this site is that I live in Rep. of Ireland which uses 3 pin uk plug but because UK plug only available in UK, I had to chop off plug and replace it with one that tribit won't allow me to order !!

A la recherche du mouton à 5 pattes: bon son à faible et à haut volume, puissance suffisante pour une fiesta, mobilité, qualité de fabrication et tarif ultra raisonnable, j’ai opté pour une stormbox micro 2 associée à une stormbox blast plutôt que pour une marque premium à 400 € minimum. La SB blast assure même à bas volume. Il ne faut pas hésiter à jouer de l’equalizer généreux en fréquences pour se créer ses réglages adaptés aux environnements et circonstances. La micro 2 est quand même plus pratique dans la douche ;).

I've owned home theatre systems and good PC speaker setups that this thing outperforms. Great indoors paired with TV, surprisingly good outdoors. May not be as good as an outdoor wired party speaker, but impressively close. It's a party in a box and a home theatre in a box. Should more than do the job for outdoor movie nights.

This is hands down the best sub $200 portable bluetooth speaker on the market. I compared this head-to-head vs my previous favorite - the Soundcore Motion Boom Plus - among others, and it wasn't even a contest. The bass in the Tribit is way deeper and hits harder. The Soundcore is too harsh for my ears. The Tribit is a whole other class of speaker, more comparable to the $500 JBL Boombox 2, and it would probably beat that as well. My wife loves the lightshow - it's a nice little extra that you can turn off if that's not your thing, but it's a fun option to have. The Soundcore does weigh about half as much and is more portable with the strap, which is certainly worth mentioning. Tribit needs to come out with a case and strap for this asap. I'll gladly review it if they do!

Speaker goes really loud and clear. No distortion, super clear highs and bass that's quite punchy considering size. It's by no means a compact speaker but these aren't 12" woofers were talking about and the bass still thumps. Fills up a house and loud enough for outside also. Tribit makes good speakers.
